"By artists, for artists."
Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation is a fellowship of artists and art lovers. MPAF was founded by Dick Crispo, Rudolfo Nava, Ilene Tuttle, and Kay Cline in Dick Crispo's living room in the mid 1970s. Click here for the complete story of the founding of MPAF.
Annual Exhibition 2024
By long tradition, MPAF does not jury an artist's work. MPAF believes that artists must have an opportunity to show their work and to that end we have an all-member annual exhibition at a showing space open to the public. The annual exhibition for 2024 will be held at the Pacific Grove Art Center in the Fall of 2024. Entry fees are $15/1st artwork, $5/each for 2nd and 3rd artworks. 3-D works are welcome at the same rate. This is a chance to have your work seen by hundreds of collectors in a beautifully lit, professional art gallery. Join us by becoming part of MPAF. A detailed email will be sent to all members in early June.
Membership in MPAF
Membership in MPAF is $20 per year and is open to anyone interested in art whether an artist or not. Each member receives a member page to display artwork on this website which is updated quarterly. Membership in MPAF is not membership in the gallery on Cannery Row. The gallery waiting list is closed. Applications for gallery space are not being accepted at this time. When gallery showing spaces become available, new gallery artists are chosen from the MPAF general membership by their ability and availability to run the shop.
